Theater Arts

Our Theater Arts program exists to help students discover and develop their God-given gifts through acting, storytelling, performance, and stagecraft. We create meaningful theater experiences for students ages 8–18, where every rehearsal and performance becomes an opportunity to grow in confidence, creativity, and character. We believe theater is a powerful way to communicate truth, cultivate empathy, and bring stories to life that spark imagination, inspire hope, and encourage others. As students develop both their artistic ability and their character, they learn to perform with excellence, authenticity, confidence, and a heart that honors God.

Tuition

Tuition is based on the total number of dance and acting class hours per family (not per student). If multiple students are enrolled, all weekly class hours are combined to determine your family's monthly tuition. For families adding a 45-minute class, tuition is rounded to the nearest half-hour increment.

Additional Information

A one-time $20 enrollment fee applies to each class.
Tuition is processed through your Jackrabbit Dance Parent Portal using automatic monthly payments via a credit card or bank account.
All classes are subject to a one-month cancellation policy. Please refer to the Parent & Student Handbook for complete details.

TAKE THE STAGE

Students develop their confidence, creativity, and stage presence through acting, storytelling, movement, and performance while learning to use their gifts to reflect God's truth, inspire others, and communicate with purpose.

Classes For All Ages

Acting I (Ages 7–9)

Young actors discover the fundamentals of performance through imaginative play, storytelling, movement, and character creation. Along the way, they build confidence, communication, listening skills, and stage awareness while exploring story arcs and performing short scenes using the A&B Method.

Acting II (Ages 9–11)

Building on the foundations of Acting I, students deepen their craft through scene analysis, character objectives, emotional authenticity, improvisation, and memorization techniques. Classes also introduce the fundamentals of musical theatre while continuing to strengthen confidence, collaboration, and stage presence through the A&B Method.

Acting III (Ages 11–13)

Designed for students ready to deepen their craft, Acting III focuses on script analysis, character development, ensemble performance, and advanced improvisation. Students are introduced to classical text and monologue work including Shakespeare as well as more challenging musical theatre material, developing the technical and creative skills needed for more demanding performances through the A&B Method.

Acting IV (Ages 14+)

Designed for advanced students, Acting IV refines performance through in-depth scene study, audition technique, and performance preparation while exploring a variety of acting methodologies. Students are introduced to on-camera acting, advanced Shakespeare scene work, and theatre history, equipping them with the technical skills, artistic versatility, and professional confidence needed for both stage and screen. Through the A&B Method, performers continue to develop their unique artistic voice and professional discipline.

Musical Theatre I (Ages 7–9)

An introduction to musical theatre through singing, acting, movement, and imaginative play. Students build confidence as they learn age-appropriate songs, basic choreography, rhythm, storytelling, and stage etiquette. The course also introduces foundational music theory, helping young performers develop strong musical instincts while discovering the joy of performing.

Musical Theatre II (Ages 9–11)

Building on the foundations of Musical Theatre I, students strengthen their vocal technique, musicianship, and acting skills through ensemble numbers and scene work. The course expands on music theory, rhythm, harmony, and choreography while developing character, storytelling, and stage presence. Through age-appropriate repertoire, students gain the confidence and discipline needed for more advanced musical theatre performance.

Musical Theatre III (Ages 11–13)

Building on the skills developed in Musical Theatre II, students deepen their performance abilities by integrating acting, singing, and movement into fully realized musical theatre performances. The course emphasizes vocal technique, character development, acting through song, choreography, and ensemble work while exploring the history and evolution of musical theatre through its most influential eras and styles. Students continue to refine their artistry, confidence, and stage presence as versatile performers.

Musical Theatre IV (Ages 14+)

Designed for advanced performers, Musical Theatre IV focuses on polished performance through advanced vocal technique, acting through song, and professional audition preparation. Students refine solo repertoire, strengthen character interpretation, and develop confident storytelling while preparing mock auditions and performance-ready pieces. The course emphasizes artistry, versatility, and the skills needed to succeed in both educational and professional musical theatre settings.
